Section 7.11
(Formerly Section 94) NSW Council Registered Quantity Surveyor’s Detailed Cost Report

Council Construction Cost Estimate (Registered Quantity Surveyor’s Detailed Cost Report ) for the Development application Section 7.12 (Formerly Section 94a) Cost Summary Report. If you are building and your project exceeds $500,000 (some NSW Councils will only require a QS Report for projects over $1,000,000, City of Sydney $3,000,000), you may need Quantity Surveyor’s Detailed Cost Report.

Development Contributions are a contribution toward the provision or improvement of amenities or services in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

The service we provide is to the builders, owners, architects, and developers. Section 7.12 (formerly Section 94a) contribution is a payment made to the council as part of the development application. This contribution is calculated by applying a percentage to the total construction cost. If the cost of construction exceeds $500,000*, a cost estimate must be prepared by a Registered Quantity Surveyor who is a member of the Australia Institute of Quantity Surveyors. READ MORE
